Inside the Cuff?
Even in a solid-colored dress shirt, it's not unusual to see faint traces of other colors in areas that aren't readily visible. For instance, a gray strip inside the cuff of a shirt is a minor detail.
Most managers would overlook such a trivial matter, but this one couldn't let it go. Their extreme reaction, sending the employee home for the remainder of the shift over a small gray stripe, was a clear sign that this job might not be worth sticking around for.
