15. Practical Magic
Practical Magic is a film about the Owens family with powerful witches who live in a magnificent Victorian mansion in New England. However, their problem is that their ancestors cast a curse so that when any man they love will die. Fans of this movie love the mansion on the cliff, and many people want to visit this interesting place. Even a woman named Barbara Streisand tried to contact the manufacturer because she wanted to buy this mansion. Unfortunately, this mansion never existed, and everything on San Juan Island in Washington was gone. The exterior of this house is an empty shell and the architectural firm which built it named Roman and Williams.
Director Griffin Dunn asked the architect how to designed and constructed the house looks like a combination of the lighthouse on the east coast and the ancient as this house has undergone generations of witches. They used this shell when the director shoots scenes of witches in the garden or picnics near the beach. All of the inside shots are filmed on sets in a Los Angeles studio. This is made to look like it's in a house. Tragically, right after the film was closed, the studio was dismantled. There is one fan who liked the architecture of the movie so much. So, he built his kitchen to be as close to the original as possible. It is one of the most fabulous kitchens ever created.
