Relationships between coworker friends are a little weird. You never know how much you can really tell them or how much of your personal life to share. But, you don't usually feel entitled to ask massive favors of ones you don't know very well.
This person decided to go for it anyway, and then resorted to petty threats when their coworker said no. This person sounds like a petty high schooler - not a grown adult working in an office. Grow up, lady.
