Golfing isn't exactly a cheap hobby. There are the tacky clothes, the golf clubs, and the fees to get onto a course in the first place. It's natural to want to borrow clubs from someone if you don't play often, but not like this.
So, what you're saying is that your friend is so cheap, they'll not only beg a friend of a friend for clubs, but refuse to use ones that are actually offered to them? The entitlement here knows no bounds.
