19. Trophy Building
In the 1960s, Elvis Presley opted to build a big wing on the south side of the original house. To connect the new branch to the main home, a modest breezeway was also built. The new wing housed a slot car track, but it was later rebuilt to house Elvis' medals, honors, souvenirs, and other items.
Trophy Building was given the name, and plate-glass double doors were later constructed to provide greater access to visitors. The Hall of Gold is the most outstanding feature of the Trophy Building. Elvis Presley's first gold and platinum albums and singles are on display in an 80-foot-long room. Other honors, such as his three Grammy Awards and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences' Lifetime Achievement Award, are displayed in many display cases.
