Hawaiian is an Official Language of Hawaii
Hawaii is the only state in the United States with two official languages: Hawaiian and English. In addition to these, there's also Pidgin, colloquially known as "Hawaii Creole English." Pidgin developed as a hybrid language forged through interactions among plantation owners, native Hawaiians, and immigrant laborers.
Pidgin incorporates vocabulary from diverse countries, including Japan, China, the Philippines, and Portugal. While some residents may consider it an official language, the fact remains that it does not hold official status, even though it is widely spoken and understood.
