Hawaii's Demographics: A Unique Composition
In the demographic landscape of the United States, Caucasians constitute the majority population in nearly every state except five states: California, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, and Hawaii. Interestingly, Hawaii is the sole state that has never had a Caucasian majority.
Presently, individuals of Asian descent significantly outnumber any other island group. The breakdown is as follows: Asians comprise approximately 38% of the population, while Caucasians come in a distant second at 25%. Surprisingly, the indigenous Hawaiian population represents only about 10% of the total.
