Pua Mao Hau Hele, or the Yellow Hibiscus
While hibiscus flowers are commonly seen throughout Hawaii, the state adopted them as its national flower in the 1920s. However, it wasn't until 1988 that Hawaii officially designated the color of its national flower as yellow.
