Hawaii Is Wider Than Texas, Not in Landmass

Stretching 1,523 miles from Niihau Island to the Big Island, Hawaii is the widest state in the U.S., just behind Alaska. When measured from east to west, Hawaii ranks as the second widest state in the United States, after Alaska.

For perspective, Hawaii is more than twice as wide as Texas. While Hawaii's landmass is approximately 16,635 square kilometers, Texas is significantly larger at roughly 678,052 square kilometers, making Texas 3,976% larger than Hawaii.
