9/ Instead of shrubs, choose pot blooming trees.
We are used to seeing red plants such as amaryllis blooms or poinsettias around wintertime, but we don't need to restrict ourselves to a single color! Mixing up colors and adding brighter palettes is so worthwhile. The best thing about potted plants is that they seem to last longer, too, because if you care for them properly, you will keep your winter spirit well into the spring. Vary the colors and sizes for the most aesthetically appealing arrangement of your plants as well as their placement.
Wrap the plant's pot in birch-bark for an even more significant effect, or repot them in a more decorative planting pot that blends into your home style. Anyway, it may be a perfect way to let the roots re-establish themselves and expand, but unless you want to go that path, make sure you do your homework. When you have all your plants, sprinkle pinecones, votive candles (or LED tealights), and some other wintery decorations located (and decorated) in the empty spaces to make it look beautiful.
