No Matter How Old We Are

As children, we often harbored fears of unseen creatures lurking in our rooms, whether in the closet or under the bed. The darkness became a realm of uncertainty where we dared not venture. As adults, we've understood that those tales of monsters were simply parental tactics to coax us into slumber.

Nonetheless, a trace of that old fear still lingers. Despite our claims of bravery and independence, we are hesitant to peek under the bed unless every light in the room is blazing, only if necessary. This apprehension isn't exclusive to women but resonates with everyone.
