Honesty Is The Best Policy
Being truthful is a great quality, but sometimes, a little filter goes a long way — especially on first dates. When Robert sat across from his date, he didn’t hold back. He told her exactly what he was thinking, and that included confessing that she wasn’t quite what he had expected. Most people would’ve cringed or walked away, but thankfully, his date had a sense of humor and didn’t take it to heart.
Surprisingly, the blunt honesty didn’t ruin the date. In fact, it led to real conversation, laughs, and even a second date. Looking back, it became a favorite story they now tell others. It’s a reminder that sometimes being real, even uncomfortably so, can open doors rather than close them. But still — maybe next time Robert can hold off on the brutal truths until at least dessert. Because while honesty is good, tact is what keeps the conversation going.
