Do you know? Dog urine will cause at least a few chemical burns in your yard. You'll need to rinse and dilute the urine as soon as it settles, but you won't be able to, especially in areas where many dogs walk.
The solution is to dig up burnt areas in early summer and replant them with a turf mix that matches the pre-existing grass. Besides, they will have shade or sunny conditions. Until the seeds begin to grow, keep them evenly moist. Temporarily keep the dog out while the area heals by erecting a fence.
