In designing coverup tattoos, meticulous consideration must be given to effectively concealing any shading, bright colors, and the distinctive shape of the original tattoo. These elements often pose a significant challenge to tattoo artists tasked with transforming an existing piece into a work of art.
In this case, the artist and the client agreed to the original theme—a dragonfly. The artist opted for a black-and-white rendition to effectively obscure the old tattoo, which was originally executed in vibrant colors. An intriguing aspect of this transformation is the glossy appearance of the redefined wings, an effect achieved by strategically incorporating the underlying cover to enhance the overall aesthetic.
