Seventh Woman to Bear the Name
Cleopatra, known as Cleopatra VII Philopater, was not the first or the last to bear the name in her family dynasty. She was, in fact, the seventh woman within her family to hold the name.
Her official title may be a mouthful, but it distinguishes her as a unique figure within the lineage. Most people commonly refer to her simply as Cleopatra.
