39. Food should be left in the kitchen
Valentine's Day, you got a box of chocolates or maybe a gourmet cheese and wine set. You keep them away from the kitchen to avoid the children finding out. That's a bad idea. Rats and cockroaches can appear if you keep food in your cupboard. Besides, they can wreak havoc on your wardrobe! You can move them to the top shelf in the kitchen. Or, better yet, enjoy them now. Invite your girlfriend or plan a romantic evening with your partner.
Although the cupboard is a place to clean up clutter quickly, it does more harm than good. If your food gift contains items like crackers in an airtight package, keep them in your pantry. For chocolates, keep them in a locked refrigerator or change their packaging.
