Channing Tatum

When news broke that Hollywood was developing a Barbie movie, fans were quick to rally behind Channing Tatum, petitioning for him to portray Ken, Barbie's iconic companion. Although the role ultimately went to Ryan Gosling, many fans still believe Tatum would have been an ideal choice.

However, there might have been a reason why producers didn't pursue this suggestion. Channing Tatum had already previously played a character based on a toy, notably in the role of G.I. Joe. Perhaps the producers felt that having him play Ken, another toy-based character, could have been too repetitive or limiting for the actor. Regardless, it's evident that both Tatum and Gosling are talented actors who could have brought their unique charm to the role of Ken in the Barbie movie.
