During a vacation on Necker Island, Kate Winslet met Edward Abel Smith, Richard Branson's nephew. They secretly married in 2012. Winslet has expressed her appreciation for the tremendous support Smith provides her and has mentioned that she has never had as much fun in a relationship before.
Since her split from Mendes, Kate has had a successful career in the film industry. She has taken on diverse roles in movies such as the Divergent series and is set to appear in the highly anticipated film Avatar: The Way of Water.
