In December 2011, Zayn Malik, a boy band One Direction member, began dating Perrie Edwards, a girl group Little Mix member. The couple captured the hearts of many fans, and Zayn proposed to Perrie in August 2013, making them an adorable couple.
However, in August 2015, Zayn announced his split from Perrie shortly after he departed from One Direction. The breakup was even more difficult for Perrie, as Zayn ended their engagement by text, causing her great distress and describing it as one of the worst times of her life.
