Being invited to be a bridesmaid is a tremendous honor, showcasing the depth of friendship with the bride-to-be. It signifies that she values your bond so much that she wants you to play a special role in her wedding ceremony beyond just being a guest.
However, being a bridesmaid also means surrendering control to the bride's preferences, including wearing the bridesmaid's dress of her choosing. Unfortunately, in this particular case, the woman was pregnant during her friend's wedding, and the dress chosen for her was not flattering for an expectant mother.
