Antonio Margarito retired in 2012 after a punishing encounter with Miguel Cotto, during which his eye swelled shut. The Tijuana Tornado, known for his highly aggressive fighting style, captured three welterweight and three light middleweight championships. Despite his success, Margarito's career was marred by controversy when, before a 2009 fight with Shane Mosley, he was caught with plaster in his hand wraps (adding weight to his gloves), suspending his license.
