Certain festivals, such as Burning Man, cater to the free-spirited and artistic crowd, emphasizing the values of environmental consciousness and unrestrained self-expression. Given this context, one would assume that preserving a tree would align perfectly with their ethos.
However, regrettably, the opposite has occurred, as the tree in question has been reduced to a forlorn stump, transformed into nothing more than a staged prop for contrived and quote-worthy photo opportunities. Prioritizing an Instagrammable moment should never overshadow the importance of preserving nature. It is evident that this former tree, now reduced to a mere set piece, has lost both its essence as a living being and the freedom it once embodied.
