18. Part 3 - Step 3: Set up the bed frame in your bedroom
Oh, this is an exciting step! Eventually, you will move the bed frame into your bedroom and get where you want it to be. When you want to find the right place, don't hesitate if you need to take a moment to shift your bed frame around. Once you are in place, you want to place the cases a foot away from the wall. Place the bed's head in the correct position and keep it about 1 inch from the side shelves. The bedhead can be around 1⁄2 inch taller than the side rails as well.
Using your drill, make two-inch holes through the side panels and the headboard for assembly. Using 1 / 4-20 connector bolts and nuts, connect the headboard and tighten everything with two hexagonal keys. Once the connection bolts are tight, the bed will start to look more square and assembled.
