13. Part 2 - Step 1: Start creating a mattress and supporting your bedside

In the first step of part 2, you want to start by cutting the headboard, rails, and columns to the size you need. You'll assemble these pieces with your wood glue (you might be wondering if you should buy two bottles at this point, but no need to worry since you only need one) and screws.

Like you did with the dividers in part 1, you will need to use veneer trim tape to secure the headboard's sides. However, instead of just cutting an extra inch on each side, you should cut another two inches as this will help you ensure that you have enough for a longer piece. Follow the same steps to fix the thin board to the garment and cut off the excess at the end. Don't forget about sanding!
