13. Choose Versatile Ingredients
Most stores are restocked daily, with companies like Walmart trying to fill their shelves and cleaning during the night time. As a result, you should be able to get stable ingredients whenever you make a trip to the grocery stores. In this case, try to choose foods that can be used for more than one meal, as it will cover the base of what you're planning to cook.
For example, with pasta, if you combine them with different sauces as well as a mixture of meat and vegetables, you get a new meal each time. Besides, you can do different things to potatoes, like boiling, baking, or frying them. During this time where people face panic buying and selling sessions, we have seen too many cases of people buying random frozen meals or whatever is left on the shelves, even when they don't usually eat those stuff. As a result, we have too many wasted foods.
