Long Necks – Burma

It's no secret that in various parts of the world, the neck is considered one of the most attractive features of a woman. In most cases, no particular modifications are needed apart from lifting the hair off the neck for a more elegant look.

However, in Eastern Burma, among the Kayan tribe, a different practice exists. Women from this tribe actively elongate their necks by wearing a brass ring necklace. These rings help stretch their necks over time, creating the appearance of a longer neck. While intriguing, it's worth noting that this traditional custom might involve some discomfort for the women wearing the rings.
