16.In-Laws Can Be Difficult

In-laws are now living with one out of every six married couples. And once the coronavirus rent and mortgage forbearance expires, we will see a lot more of this. This is fantastic for certain people. It could be an opportunity to spend more time with your family. When you need a break, the grandparents can step in as free babysitters. When more adults are living in the same house, household responsibilities get more accessible as well. That does not, however, imply that every multi-generational household will be picture perfect.

Women who said they had a strained relationship with their mother-in-law ended up with happier marriages! Believe it or not, spouses who maintain a close relationship with their in-laws are more likely to divorce. This could be because having your parents weigh in on your marital problems isn't exactly good. As a result of this trend, we may witness an increase in divorces as people are forced to return to their parents' homes.
