The ambulance had stated that Marilyn "passed away at the hospital," a different statement from what was initially reported. Furthermore, the initial police officer who arrived at the scene, Jack Clemmons, believed that the death scene had been staged. The room was tidy, the bed linens were fresh, and the housekeeper was doing laundry.
