The Suicide Theory
Even in death, Marilyn Monroe remains as enigmatic as she was in life. One of the suggested explanations for her sudden demise is suicide.
The initial findings by the coroner indicated probable suicide by depressants: "Miss Monroe had suffered from psychiatric disturbances for an extended period. On multiple occasions, when disappointed or depressed, she had attempted suicide and had been rescued. We believe the same pattern was repeated [on August 4], except this time there was no rescue."
