It's an Email Thing

Sending emails is a real struggle. Emails are always super formal, so you have to be straightforward yet not too pushy. It's especially stressful when you are writing for someone who is a higher-up in your company, university, social groups, etc.

So, once you send an email, after all the contemplation and rereading, you now have to open your 'sent' inbox and read it from the receiver's perspective. The extent to which people go when it comes to this is wild.
