Amish Education
Amish children receive an education reminiscent of late 19th and early 20th-century American schools. They attend one-room schools with mixed-age groups up to the eighth Grade.
Unlike mainstream education, there are no high schools in Amish communities. After eighth Grade, boys focus on learning a trade, while girls do the same.
