Adherence to Ordnung Rules
The "Ordnung," or order, encompasses the set of rules that guide the daily lives of Amish people. These rules can be documented in writing for community members, or they may be transmitted verbally and understood through tradition.
It's worth noting that what is deemed acceptable under the Ordnung in one Amish community may not be permissible in another. Amish communities often exhibit variations and have different standards and practices. However, one constant across all Amish communities is their strong commitment to avoiding any violations of the rules whenever possible.
