Amish Representation in Popular Media
While the Amish themselves typically do not watch TV, they have been featured, and sometimes misportrayed, in popular television shows like "2 Broke Girls" and "The X-Files."
More recently, the Netflix series "Orange is the New Black" included a character raised in an Amish community who even spoke Pennsylvania Dutch for authenticity.
