Unusual Amish Conflict
Although violence is uncommon in Amish communities, there have been isolated incidents. A particularly notable case occurred in Ohio in 2011, where several Amish men were apprehended for a distinctive offense: forcibly shaving the beards of their adversaries.
This unusual act of degradation was orchestrated by Samuel Mullet, who subsequently faced imprisonment for his involvement in the incident. Despite its rarity, this event highlights that even within tightly-knit communities like the Amish, conflicts can occasionally escalate into uncharacteristic acts of violence.
