"There's no place like home!" Kansas residents, it's assumed, spend their days wistfully clicking heels, fantasizing about tornadoes spiriting them away to the land of Oz. Perhaps they while away hours meandering through sunflower fields in pursuit of munchkins or indulging in copious cotton candy at local fairs.
Visualizing this might come naturally when contemplating Kansas, yet the reality is less sensational. While sunflower fields and a multitude of fairs indeed adorn the state, there's more to it than meets the eye!
