28. Get to work on your new home's repairs.
You will want to start making repairs to your house before moving in, depending on the repairs you need to make. It is particularly critical if major safety repairs are required, such as removing lead paint or replacing defective electrical systems.
Any repairs are minimal and can be completed after you have settled in. If you're short of time, you can choose to make fixes after you've moved in. Be sure, though, that these repairs do not jeopardize your or your family's protection.
