12. Decide Where You Want to Live

When you have put your finances in order, you can start having fun. Choose where you want to live based on several factors. Are there any individual schools that you want your children to attend? Do you want to be close to those places, such as a train or metro station?

It is a big decision to decide where you want to live. If you live in a region with incredibly high house costs, such as Silicon Valley, you will have to make sacrifices and live farther away from work than you had hoped unless you have a gold-tier budget. There may be specific problems with which you are unable to make compromises.
