In her revealing memoir, "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology," Remini described the faith as highly oppressive and claimed that Kidman had faced Church ostracization due to her resistance to its stringent rules. While Kidman herself has mostly refrained from addressing Scientology directly, it was evident that this issue had caused significant strain in her marriage to Cruise.
