Albert Nobbs – Glenn Close

We have previously witnessed Hilary Swank portraying a transgender man, and now we have another remarkable gender-bending portrayal. In the movie "Albert Nobbs" released in 2011, actress Glenn Close transformed into the character of Albert Nobbs. Interestingly, Close had initially performed this role on stage in the 1980s and had been endeavoring for years to bring it to the big screen.

To embody the character of the transgender butler, Close dedicated two hours each day to the makeup process. She wore a silicon nose tip, gelatin earlobes, and dental plumpers to enhance the transformation. Similar to Swank, Close also utilized chest binding techniques to accurately portray the character.
