46. Algae also have a terrible smell.

Whether it's on the bottom of a lake or in sediments, algae can lurk under the radar easily. The wind will blow the particles onto land and other areas near the water. You should always be cautious and stay away from the sites as far as possible.

You can tell if your dog has blue-green algae if you notice a foul odor in the area where the toxic algae are present. Algae tend to produce a foul smell. Don't let your dog enter the water if you smell something terrible.
