Do you enjoy dipping your wingdings and celery stalks in a creamy, cold blue cheese sauce? Blue cheese is high in fat, and dogs who have trouble digesting other dairy products may also have difficulty digesting this soft cheese. When blue cheese ripens too much, it produces roquefortine, which is deadly to dogs. It's so poisonous that it can kill you. If you're not sure whether the cheese was harmful or not, keep an eye on your dog for any adverse reactions and be prepared to take them to the clinic if necessary.

Dogs will react to blue cheese because it contains roquefortine C. Furthermore, a hazardous amount could result in vomiting, diarrhea, tremors, twitching, seizures, and a high temperature. Any dog displaying these symptoms should be taken to a veterinarian for immediate assistance.
