6. Corn cobs can be choking hazards.

Sweetcorn can be a healthy treat for dogs if the kernels are removed from the cob. Corn on the cob may appear to be an excellent table scrap, but it does not digest appropriately, unlike other vegetables. Because of their large size and unusual structure, cobs can induce intestinal blockage.

Vomiting, a loss of appetite or a reduction in appetite, constipation or diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort are all symptoms. Corn on the cob is high in protein, antioxidants, and vital fatty acids, making it a good energy source. If you suspect your dog has ingested a corn cob, speak with your veterinarian about your choices.
