Some people like to use black licorice. But the compound glycyrrhizin found in black licorice raises blood pressure to dangerous levels if taken in excess.
Even dogs show these signs if their owners overfeed them: tooth decay, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, muscle weakness, and vomiting are signs of glycyrrhizin poisoning. We will sometimes feed our pets different foods, but you need to know what's good and not for them.
