5. Examine The Appliances
If appliances are present during the visit, this indicates that they are included in the sales price. The owners will also uninstall a machine so that they can take it with them when they pass. However, they should not believe that the devices will still run if they are left behind. Still, put them to the test during the tour, so you know what works.
You could end up having to pay for new appliances if you fail to search. Depending on the brand, you might expect to pay hundreds of dollars an item, up to $1,000. And if they perform at first, expect to have to replace them shortly after you move in.
