When you are looking at a potential home, make sure to check out the parking situation on the street. And if you only have one car right now, you never know when your children would choose to drive. Alternatively, you might need to change to a larger minivan.

Some urban houses require you to park on the street, which means you may have to walk a few blocks to reach your home. Nobody wants to get a parking ticket or lug groceries down the road at home.
