Not all dogs are friendly, and respecting their personalities rather than forcing them into unwanted interactions with other dogs is important. Building up a dog's confidence is more beneficial than pushing it into social situations.
Dogs with social anxiety might exhibit behaviors like hiding behind their owner or nervous elimination. When introducing your dog to others, do so calmly and without forcing contact, and always reward calm behavior to encourage positive social interactions.
