27. Interior shutters

Thick, heavy curtains and blinds are the absolute must-see options for the Grecian-inspired interior décor. Most houses in Greece use sheer, luxurious curtains that allow plenty of light to enter the house. For many Greeks, no curtains were used and were replaced by functional indoor shutters that can be adjusted throughout the day to control the amount and position of indoor lighting, which is a must for hot and bright summers.

While the absence of curtains may sound unfamiliar to many American decorators, indoor shutters can bring a luxurious, continental feel to a home. Plus, if you're getting tired of washing your curtains, that's another excellent reason to try out shutters in the house!
