26. Stone floor
As with tile floors, stone floors are another way to defeat the scorching summer heat in the Grecian by letting the earth's cold air seep into the stone floor. The natural stone finish is a decorative element in many Grecian decorative forms, from bust to tabletop to sculptures. Light, neutral-colored stone flooring can be the ideal way to use a traditional Grecian bathroom or kitchen.
If marble and granite are out of reach, look for modernly made laminates that even mimic the stone's texture. Underfloor heating is a luxury but relatively economical way in colder climates that will keep your stone floors comfortable year-round.
