11. Fonthill Castle
Archaeologist, an artifact collector, and tile maker Henry Chapman Mercer built Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, between 1908 and 1912. A combination of Medieval, Gothic, and Byzantine architecture was the style for his house. It also serves as a museum for his tiles and prints.
