Children will be learning additional languages when they are only in middle or high school. Even when attending college, most schools also require students to have language classes. While they might only learn vocabulary and grammar, that is the foundation for them to learn new languages as they become older.
During their time at home, parents can let their children learn different languages by their choice. There are various websites offering free or cheap courses right now, or you can consider some easy learning applications.
